DPS School is a school management application for authorized users such as students, parents/guardians, teachers, principals, financial staff, and administrators. Access requires school-issued credentials.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Login credentials (username/email and password), name, phone number, email address, CNIC / national ID where required by school records, and address or related profile details.
Student profile (class, section, campus, admission details), attendance, timetable, assignments, exams, and leave requests, fee balances and challans, and medical/dispensary records where provided by the school.
Teacher/employee attendance and check-in records, location data used for geo-fenced staff attendance check-in, and tasks, leaves, announcements, and administrative records.
Parent–teacher chat messages, and in-app announcements and notifications.
Authentication tokens and session data, push notification (FCM) device tokens, app preferences and locally cached data, and basic device/app information needed to deliver notifications and reminders.

You can change most permissions in your device settings at any time.
We use collected information to authenticate users and secure access to role-based dashboards, provide school services (attendance, fees, exams, leave, announcements, chat), enable staff check-in and campus operations, send important notifications and reminders, improve app reliability, support, and security, and meet school administrative and record-keeping needs.
We do not sell your personal information.
School and account data is processed through our backend API (api.xplservices.com) and related school systems. Chat messages, announcement feeds, and push notification tokens may be stored using Google Firebase services (including Cloud Firestore and Firebase Cloud Messaging). Login credentials and tokens may be stored securely on your device using encrypted local storage.
Information may be shared with authorized school staff and service providers only as needed to operate the App (for example, hosting, notifications, and IT support). We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or lawful request.
The App may display information about students, including minors, for legitimate school purposes and only to authorized accounts (such as parents/guardians and school staff). We do not knowingly allow children to create independent public accounts outside the school's managed access model.
We retain personal and school-related data for as long as needed to provide the App, fulfill school operational requirements, resolve disputes, and comply with legal or institutional record-keeping obligations. Local device data can usually be removed by logging out and/or uninstalling the App.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including authenticated API access, secure on-device credential storage, and role-based access inside the App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on applicable law and school policy, you may request to access or correct personal information held about you, update login credentials or disable biometric unlock, turn off notifications in device settings, or request deletion or restriction of certain personal data, where legally allowed.
Some school records (for example attendance, fees, or academic history) may need to be retained by the institution even if App access is removed.
The App relies on third-party services that process data on our behalf, including Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Messaging) and our hosted school API / infrastructure providers. Those services have their own privacy practices — we encourage you to review Google's privacy policy for Firebase-related processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
